Ostinato

Though as intimidating and weird the name might seem, Ostinato is actually a very simple concept.

It is really just a pattern of notes, written in a certain rhythm, that keeps on repeating itself. It can be short with a few notes or even long.  We might hear many Ostinati in a variety of raps or pop songs.
